The official transition to IBAN and BIC as a new standard for payment transaction within all SEPA (Single European Payment Area) members is completed. Old country specific formats for direct debit orders and credit transactions have been replaced by the new SEPA xml PAIN format using IBAN and BIC as bank account identifiers. All over Eurozone organisations from NGO's over sport clubs to private and public enterprises were advised to adapt to the new SEPA guidelines. Set up by the European Payment Council these guidelines were standardized for all SEPA members in order to simplify processes for payment transactions. That applies as well for all companies within the EU that like to conduct direct debit orders for example with another company based at one of the SEPA member countries.
The European Payment Council published implementation guidelines regarding SEPA. There you can find explicit information about how SEPA transactions must be implemented in order to fit the new XML standard. IBANC SEPA software is based upon the Council's specifications, so that processes for conversion will be guaranteed on a zero error basis. For that reason IBANC is recommended by multiple banks throughout Europe.
